# Availability and test mode

> Understand which operations are contracts, fixtures, or live capabilities.

The OpenAPI reference and MCP tool list describe the interface. They do not guarantee that an account can run every operation.

As checked on September 22, 2026, the [published agent skill](https://gmapscrawl.com/skills/google-maps-data/SKILL.md) says paid API/MCP new-work operations remain disabled and test-key fixtures are supported. The dashboard now creates live keys from a name-only form; this does not change capability availability. Confirm live access with support before depending on production scraping. Existing test keys remain suitable for simulated integration checks, but the dashboard no longer offers test-key creation.

Standalone review and photo jobs are not currently supported for live use. Business search can include available reviews and photos in its normalized business records. The review and photo tools remain in the contract for test fixtures and compatible clients.
