# Data freshness

> Understand reused search results, Maps details, and contact observation timestamps.

Searches reuse previously observed data to reduce response time. A response received now can contain business information observed earlier. Read the observation timestamps when freshness matters.

| Data | Reuse window | Timestamp to inspect |
| - | - | - |
| Completed query response | Up to 24 hours; 1 hour for an empty result | Each business's observation timestamps |
| Google Maps details in enriched searches | Up to 730 days | `businesses[].place.observedAt` |
| Website email and social enrichment | Up to 7 days | `businesses[].place.contactsCheckedAt` and each contact's `observedAt` |

These are separate windows: an expired query response can still use an eligible Maps detail record or recent contact check. Reusing Maps details preserves their original `place.observedAt`; a newer website contact check does not make the Maps details newly observed. Google Maps itself and business websites may also contain outdated information.

These reuse rules apply automatically. Use the observation timestamps to decide whether a record is recent enough for your task, especially for fields that can change frequently, such as opening hours, ratings, or phone numbers. Missing fields remain null or empty as appropriate.
